Old Bridge, New Jersey - -(ShootingWire.com)- World Class Steel will direct the “East Coast Pro-Am Championship” hosted by The Old Bridge Rifle and Pistol Club, Old Bridge, New Jersey on May 8 -9, 2009.

The Pro-Am Championship is a knockdown steel match with movement and props.

There will be numerous targets, 40 or more, per stage. Ammunition needs will be recommended at 350 minimum.

Holsters are required. Magazine pouches are recommended but mags may be stored in pockets.

Starts will vary as in position and firearm condition of readiness.

There will be seven stages. Each stage has a PAR time, which is the MAXIMUM amount of time allowed to shoot that stage.

Par time will be equal for all divisions but par times are set so that almost no one can finish the stage within the set time.

Your score on a stage is the number of steel targets that are knocked down . Your final score is the sum of your stage scores.

There will be four divisions – Open Pistol/Revolver, Iron Pistol/Revolver, Open Carbine and Iron Carbine.

Payout will be awarded using the World Class Steel Lewis System

Match Fees:
$45.00 per entry

Match Time Slots:
Friday, May 8th at 1:00 PM
Saturday, May 9th at 9:00 AM
Saturday May 9th at 1:00 PM

Lunch:
As in all World Class Steel matches, Lunch is included as part of your entry fee and will be served along with beverage.

About:
World Class Steel is all about shooting steel as fast as you can. Currently, we have two basic formats: static steel, and knockdown steel. If we think of more formats, we’ll certainly let you know, but in the meantime we offer monthly leagues and two large annual matches in both formats. World class steel and it’s matches are hosted at Old Bridge Rifle & Pistol Club. Our club is fully accredited by the following shooting sports organizations:

Conservation Group to Sponsor Youth Shooting Day

Saginaw, MI - -(AmmoLand.com)- In an effort to get more youngsters involved in the shooting sports, the Saginaw Valley Chapter of the Ruffed Grouse Society (RGS) is having a Youth Shoot at the Saginaw Gun Club, 9540 Gratiot Road, Saginaw, MI on Saturday, May 16, 2009, beginning at 9 a.m.

According to Harry Danz, the only requirement is that each of the participants have an RGS Junior membership, and those can be purchased at the event for $10.

“Everything else is free. The Saginaw Valley Chapter is supplying the shotgun shells and paying for the range fees,” Danz said, adding that each participant will shoot up to 2 rounds of skeet.

In addition each participant will receive a free one year junior membership to the Saginaw Gun Club compliments of the Saginaw Gun Club. Hot dogs, chips and soft drinks will be provided after the shoot.

All you need bring is eye and ear protection; your own shotgun, or if you don’t have a gun of your own, shotguns in various gauges will be available for use.

Open to youngsters High School age and younger, the event will focus on proper gun handling and safety, as well as shooting fundamentals taught by the clubs national class skeet shooters.

To participate you must register by Sunday, May 3, and you can do that by calling Danz at 989-754-1034.
