Q: What is your Blog’s Official Name and how did you come up with it?
A: “The Box O’ Truth”. It was named for the box that I placed things in and then shot to see the results, and learn the “Truth”.

Q: What is your Name?
A: Don

Q: What is your Online Name that you may post under?
A: Old_Painless

Q: Where are you located?
A: Southeast Texas

Q: What is the point of view or purpose of your blog?
A: To cover some myths and rumors about shooting that are wide-spread, and to educate interested folks about some firearms related information.

Q: How long has your Blog been active?
A: A few years.

Q: What do you do for a living or is your blog a full time job?
A: I am a retired Training Manager at an oil refinery.

Q: Do you have a specific agenda or goal of your blog?
A: Nope, just to have fun and to bust some myths.

Q: Do you have any other digital sites?
A: None.

Q: What is one thing that you want your readers to know about you?
A: I enjoy shooting stuff.

Q: What was the best thing you did on your blog that go the most reaction from your readers?
A: Probably the most comments were about the Locks O’ Truth.

Q: What was the worst thing you did on your blog that go the most reaction from your readers?
A: None.

Q: What’s up with the “The Buick O’ Truth”
A: An internet friend, John_Wayne777 from AR15.com did the Buick O’ Truth post. We have received a lot of comments about it.

Q: Obviously since we are featuring you your blog is Pro gun? What do you think the outlook is for the future of gun rights in America?
A: I was pleasantly surprised at the recent Heller decision. Maybe good things are still in store for us.

Q: What is your favorite firearm and why?
A: My Glock 34, 9mm. I took it to Thunder Ranch every time I went, and it has never failed to run 100%.

Q: What hunting or shooting sports hobbies do you have?
A: I used to hunt quail a lot, but haven’t in the last few years. I love bird hunting.

Q: Of the topics you cover what do you enjoy writing about the most?
A: I enjoy doing the “Refinishing Projects” on the C&R rifles and pistols.

Q: What things would you like to do or expand in your blog to in the future?
A: Just more of the same, as I have the time.

Q: What would you like to say to those that are anti gun or maybe just unsure of the purpose of guns in our society today?
A: Guns are just tools. No more dangerous than any other tool. It is the mis-use that should be controlled, not possession by honest citizens.

Q: What parting remarks or comments you would like to make or stuff you want to promote?
A: “Shooting stuff is fun.”

He holds certification as a Pistol Instructor, Rifle Instructor, Shotgun Instructor, Personal Firearms Defense Instructor, and Home Firearms Safety Instructor. He has attended classes at Thunder Ranch and taken the Defensive Handgun I, Defensive Handgun II, Urban Rifle and Defensive Shotgun Class courses. He took an early retirement and now has time to enjoy his favorite sport.
