PrÓis Hunting Apparel Partners With Primal Adventures TV To Launch New ‘Extreme Huntress’ Contest
Gunnison, CO - -(AmmoLand.com)- Can you bring home the bacon? Do you tend to bring your bacon home the old fashioned way, by jumping on a 600 pound wild hog with a knife? Or perhaps you prefer to bring home the mutton, and your idea of a relaxing day of hunting might include scaling a mountain and battling altitude sickness while stalking a trophy sheep.
Are you a real hunting Renaissance Woman with no fear and no limits in the field? Then you should enter a new contest that is right up your alley, so you can share your passion with the world.
Próis® Hunting Apparel is joining ranks with well known TV powerhouse Primal Adventures in a clarion call to the industry, kicking off an effort to discover the very first Extreme Huntress in a new national competition. Each contestant can submit an essay and photos demonstrating that she is the most hardcore huntress of them all. A panel of hunting industry celebrity judges will select the top 10 finalists, which will be posted on the Tahoe Films Ltd. website, so the hunting public can then judge the entries to select the winner.
“We were thrilled to be able to participate in a contest that will celebrate the contributions of serious women hunters, and create excitement and awareness in the industry,” says Kirstie Pike, CEO of Próis. “We can’t wait to hear the stories! It’s bound to be a tough competition.”
The grand prize (in addition to the considerable bragging rights the title will infer) will include a high profile, all expenses paid sheep and mountain goat combination hunt in British Columbia, and will be fully outfitted in Próis’ high performance hunting gear, along with a slew of other great equipment. The hunt itself will be filmed for a future episode of Primal Adventures on Versus, with the total value of the grand prize package at more than $50,000. The winner will be announced at the Próis booth at the 2010 SHOT Show.
“This contest will be an annual competitive event to not only applaud the amazing women who get out there and really go for it in the field, but to create authentic role models in our industry,” says Tom Opre of Primal Adventures. “It’s widely acknowledged that women will be playing a major role in the future of hunting and shooting sports, and we want to show that there are a lot of women out there who just kick butt, and thus are the “present” of hunting, too!”
