SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – -(AmmoLand.com)- Custom gunsmith Randy Lee, best known for his revolutionary work on revolver double-action triggers, announces the addition of the new “Zero-G” .22 Rimfire barrel to his line of quality Apex products.

The new “Zero-G” Rimfire barrel will debut in competition during the Open Rimfire Pistol match at the 2009 Steel Challenge World Speed Shooting Championships being held in Piru, Calif. on August 13.

The “Zero-G” Rimfire barrel is made from lightweight (less than 5 oz.), durable high-carbon stainless steel and is specifically designed for the S&W Model 617 .22 LR revolver outfitted with electro-optics.

“This fluted barrel design offers revolver competitors the advantage of lightening fast acceleration and deceleration by relocating the center of gravity to a point closer to the shooter’s hands,” explained Lee. “This results in a significant improvement in target engagement split time without compromising accuracy.”
