Junior Civilian Team Makes History at 2009 National Trophy Matches with Hornady Match Bullets

Grand Island, Nebraska --(AmmoLand.com)- The California Grizzlies, a civilian junior rifle team shot Hornady 223 Rem 75 gr BTHP match bullets to make history by taking the 2009 National Trophy Infantry Team Match (NTIT), August 4th at Camp Perry, Ohio.

The Grizzlies are the first-ever junior team to win the event, and the first time a civilian team beat out a military team in 79 years.

Congratulations to the outstanding young shooters who make up the California Grizzlies and their monumental achievement, Hornady is proud to have played a part in helping them make history.

2009 Firearms Law & The Second Amendment Symposium

Chicago, IL - -(AmmoLand.com)- The 2009 “Firearms Law & The Second Amendment Symposium” will be held on Saturday, September 12, at Northwestern University Law School, in Chicago, Illinois. This event will be sponsored by The NRA Foundation and the Northwestern University chapter of the Federalist Society.

Capitalizing on recent developments in our nation’s federal courts regarding the Second Amendment, panelists will discuss and debate current Second Amendment scholarship and related issues. The symposium will feature top Second Amendment scholars and attorneys, such as Profs. Nelson Lund of George Mason University, Nicholas Johnson of Fordham University, Michael O’Shea of Oklahoma City University, David Kopel of the Independence Institute (a frequent contributor to NRA magazines), historian Clayton Cramer, and more. Panelists will discuss key topics such as “original intent” versus the “living Constitution,” the scope and future of the Heller decision.

This event promises to present a thought provoking discussion of one of the most relevant and important freedoms in the Bill of Rights. Each Symposium registrant will receive a packet containing the panelists’ written materials on the subject- an excellent source for future reference. For guests who are attorneys, this year’s event may once again meet state requirements for continuing legal education. The event, including all materials, food and beverages, is free.
