This is a really nice article but we really need to reach people outside of the gun community.

A lot of people reading magazines like Outdoor magazine already have for the most part a decent understand of firearms like the AR15.

We need to run articles like this in the L.A. Times.

I hope this campaign helps some. However the Media elite will as usual try to ignore the truth, as they are dedicated gun ownership haters, and will try to work against this as much as they can. The folks at CBS and Time magazine know if things like this campaign are successful, their efforts at future gun bans are less likely to succeed. My point is, don’t look to the major media corportations to get on board with this. As usual we as gun owners are on our own.

This is a great article. However, placing educational ads in outdoor magzines is preaching to the choir. Some people who enjoy the outdoors do not use or understand firearms, so there will be a few that may have their eyes opened.
If you really want to make an impact, place the ads in Vogue, Cosmo, Glamour, Maxim, Etc. Those people probably have the least understanding of guns, and would make such a fuss, you would get many times the advetising for free, from the grumbling head in the sand uneducated.

you should take all the media people and teach them.
everything thing is an ak or m-16 to them.
or high power assualt rifle.
the media , in general need to get educated on fire arm terms and function.
