Is the Indiana Lifetime Handgun License Going To Be Repealed? Maybe…Maybe Not
Indiana – -(AmmoLand.com)- There is another question that comes up often and I was asked about it again last night at the gun club. A gentleman asked me if the Indiana Lifetime Handgun License is going to be discontinued.
That rumor started before the ink was dry on that bill as I watched the Governor sign it into law. Some tell me they’ve heard that the Indiana State Police is going to stop issuing those licenses.
I will once again address this issue. The state police cannot arbitrarily discontinue that license. The Lifetime Handgun License was not an administrative move, it was a legislative action that became law.
It would take a legislative action to repeal that law. Would that be possible? You betcha.
All we need is for enough Indiana residents to make a disastrous decision to hand the control of the Indiana Senate and House and Governorship to the Democratic party.
If that would happen and a bill to repeal that law were to be introduced and pass through both houses and makes it to the desk of a liberal governor that would be happy to sign it, then we could all say goodbye to that handgun license.
In that case would your current lifetime handgun license be safe? Not necessarily. It would depend on the language of that kind of bill.
This brings me back to my argument about stacking the deck in this next years election so that we end up holding all the good cards.
I don’t aim to get in a lot of debate about which party is good or bad. The simple fact is that we made many significant accomplishments under a Republican controlled legislature and governor. There has not been one, not one pro gun bill survive in the Democrat House with Speaker Pat Bauer as leader.
Not only were there no pro gun bills to have received a hearing in any committee in the House, but no Democrat introduced any pro gun bills.
I know that we did get some support from a few Senate Democrats during the past two years and there were a few Republicans who turn coated on us, but the facts are still what they are.

I don’t know a lot on gun law legislation but it’s pretty obvious what is going on in this country right now they want to make this another socialized country no one is allowed to defend themselves or have personal weapons hence we get martial law and total government control over us. we all need to stand our ground on gun laws and everything else we hold so dear such as freedom of speech.

Indiana Applicants due to overwhelming numbers can now go to state sponsored electronic fingerprin sites- and pay big money to do that to. Ya thinkin a con is going to do that??
