Berryville, AR - -(AmmoLand.com)-Well the IDPA Nationals is in the books and it was a great match. I spent the week on the Wilson Combat expo bay letting everyone who wanted, the opportunity to shoot some of our guns. The Bill Wilson Carry Pistol was a hit with all who gave it a try, and not a single person passed on the chance to shoot a Classic.

The UT15 I took along got a fair number of rounds through it, especially from all the foreign shooters that made their way to the match. Seems they get few opportunities to shoot an AR15 and did not pass the chance to press the trigger a few times.

We also sponsored a shot gun side match, it was a big hit. Everyone that wanted to participate had the opportunity to shoot a short course that required a reload shooting steel poppers. Three while moving, reload at cover and three from the barricade. John Morris took first place, followed by Glenn Shelby second, and Steve Dutch in third. Congratulations guys and to all that gave it a try, thanks for stopping by and visiting with us.

This month we will be highlighting one of our new 6.8 rifles. Take a close look at the 6.8, it gives you a whole new level of versatility for the AR15 platform. Bill has spent untold hours researching and field testing the capabilities of the 6.8SPC and has found it not only to be a tack driver, but a formidable hunting round.

Give it a look and let us know how we can help you to enjoy this real expansion of the AR platform. Along those same lines we are spotlighting the .22 Conversion Units for the AR. Our unit already has all the bells and whistles that you demand in your AR, but will save you big bucks on the range. It includes all of our latest upgrades on the standard unit. Better look close they will go fast.

We have been hard at work developing new AR accessories for you. Go take a look at the Rifle Accessory Page and you will not believe how many new products that we have added. Good news is that there are more to come. Keep an eye of both the Eblast and the Down Range for announcements of new additions to our already complete line of custom firearm accessories.

This month’s pistol spotlight will be my favorite, the CQB. The Wilson Combat Close Quarters Battle is the one that all others are judged by. Take a look at the custom options that are available for any of our pistols and you will be amazed. Give us a call and one of our customer service representatives will help you build your CQB exactly the way you want it. The options are so numerous I would not even attempt to put them in this article. There are some great photos of some of them on the website and we can certainly help you decide which of them best fits your needs.

This week I received a call from a gentleman who had just returned from one of those sandy regions where we seem to have too many of our finest located at any given time. I get tons of calls every week and while most are great calls from customers that want to take a minute out of their day to let me know what our products have meant to them, this one was a real treat for me.

This particular fellow called to tell me how having his CQB with him not only provided him piece of mind, but actually made it possible to return home to his family. We talked for quite a while and he relayed stories to me of how the others that were in his group were envious of his pistol, and even how he discovered that the Wilson Combat 47D has become international currency, know world wide as the best and accepted as trading material for all that you may need.

Through the entire conversation his theme never changed, skill and luck will get you through, but having his CQB that he knew would work every time made it possible to focus on the job at hand and gave him the ability to come back home.

To all of you in harm’s way, stay safe.

Till next time:
Stay safe, shoot straight, and always watch six.
