Usually, private sellers ask for a resident state drivers license. That establishes age, residency and presumptively that the buyer is not a D.U.I. person.You may not sell to a person you know or reasonably believe is not eligible or who is impaired or reasonably known to you to be intending to use the weapon for criminal purposes.
