I hope that Constitution-defending patriots start emphasizing the following about Obama’s power to negotiate treaties, particularly where the gun rights of US citizens are concerned.

But first, I have a problem with people’s reliance on the 2nd Amendment. Given that the federal government has only those powers expressly delegated to it by the states via the Constitution, I would appreciate if somebody showed me where in the Constitution the states have delegated power to Congress to regulate civilian firearms, regardless of the 2nd Amendment; the 2nd A. is certainly no delegation of such powers.

Yes, several clauses in Article I, Section 8, clearly indicate that Congress has been delegated authority to regulate military firearms. But so what? Again, I’m talking about expressly delegated constitutional authority to regulate civilian firearms. I don’t see it.

Next, given the Constitution’s silence about civilian firearms, aside from 14th A. issues, the 10th A. automatically reserves government power to regulate such arms uniquely to the states, not Congress. And people don’t seem to understand that this actually presents major problems for Obama and the Senate where negotiating gun rights in treaties is concerned.

More specifically, given that the honest interpretation of the Constitution indicates that Obama and Congress don’t have constitutional authority to regulate issues that actually fall under state authority, Obama and the Senate certainly cannot use treaty power as a back door to force US citizens to comply with foreign laws that Congress has no power to regulate in the first place. This includes civilian gun laws.

And if you don’t believe that such limits exist on federal power to negotiate treaties, then maybe you’ll believe a very respected constitutional expert.

But if misguided Obama continues to abuse his limited powers by attempting to force US citizens to comply with foreign gun laws, we must not forget the following. Jefferson also had a remedy concerning “leaders” like Obama who unthinkingly exercise constitutionally nonexistent federal government powers.

The bottom line is that the voters have a big mess to clean up in DC in 2010.

ALREADY putting dire “import restrictions” on many, many parts, accessories, ammo, etc for ALL MAKES of weapons, Dealers of every size have already “kow-towed” & ante’d up to keep up with a WAR NOBODY IS EVEN AWARE-OF – viz., the TYRANNICALLY HIGH-COST Federal Import Licensing FEE’s, paperwork, ridiculous commitments, etc., etc… and DOPES like u DUMBA%## think ur gonna FIGHT it when O’ signs that treaty -which he WILL!

When the U.N. has FULL GOVERNANCE over what comes into this country (or DOESNT!) -who u gonna fight THEN, big boys? The air? O’ will sidestep the issue, rightfully so, claiming “whatever happens aint MY fault – I have NO control… its the U.N. – go fight ALL the Nations if ur mad.” And the U.N. will -rather quickly- dry up the “gas” that runs the guns: Parts, accessories, ammo, etc. So buy all the Guns u want.. O’s about to reduce ‘em ALL to nothing more than heavy clubs!!

AND YA SAT AROUND & WATCHED IT WITH DUMB STARES! Yeh, be PROUD, boys. Be REEEEAL Proud! Its a Military Strategy called “U BEEN OUTFLANKED, A-HOLES!!” The NRA tried to warn ya. But U were too busy mincing “words” (oooh) with the LIBS -instead of doing the RIGHT thing!

I’ve been saying this for 6 months. If they think all of these people are buying guns and ammo to hand over to the government when told to they are sadly mistaken!!

I’d quote something from the founding fathers here, but I’m not trying to get on EVERY list they’re compiling!!(Fat chance right?!!)

I think we need to impeach the president on grounds of treason. If you read the United States Constitution, Article II section 4. And then look back at the rest of the Constitution at what he is doing illegal, we should be able to stop him an pelosi. That would stop alot of trouble.
I truly believe as the muslim overseas said, they would destroy us from within,.. Well, They found there man didn’t they. He said it was a slip that came so easily to his lips. “The 57 states. I mean 50″, in his speach. Well the only place there are 57 states is the 57 Islamic states that are in the united nations and are over human rights. That is another reason why the united nation is a lame duck. The united nations is aislamic, muslim organization now. We can’t let them try to run our country. I wil die for my God, my family and my country with Honor if needed. I am that serious aboutv it.
