Bellevue, WA – -(AmmoLand.com)-We are very excited to see the Second Amendment Foundation joined by the Illinois State Rifle Assocciation on the behalf of four Chicago residents submitted its brief in the U.S. Supreme Court case McDonald vs Chicago.

The brief was prepared by attorney Alan Gura who was also the attorney for the widely known Heller case which successfully challenged the Washington D.C. handgun ban last year.

The brief is available for viewing and downloading at ChicagoGunCase.com. The brief presents an excellent and compelling argument as to why the Second Amendment should be incorporated into the states. Many Second Amendment supporters will find the brief easy to read and comprehend. It has been said by some IllinoisCarry members who have read it to cause “goosebumps” in its scope, clarity, and purpose.

Oral arguments are expected to be heard early next year and perhaps a ruling by mid-year. The restoration of the Second Amendment rights of Illinois citizens will be greatly affected by the ruling in this case and we shall continue to watch future developments very closely.
