Founded in 1995, USA Shooting is dedicated to furthering the sport of shooting and supporting athletes and members of the organization. Shooting remains a competitive sport in the United States with nearly 20 million target shooters. The Olympic Games has become a successful event for American shooters, with over 100 Olympic medals won by the United States.

“As a 501c3 non-profit organization, USA Shooting relies on support from those who take a strong interest in the development of the U.S. Shooting Team,” says Buddy DuVall, Executive Director of the USA Shooting Team Foundation. “As our program continues to grow, we are excited and optimistic about the sponsorship efforts from Benchmade.”

USA Shooting is headquartered at the Olympic Training Center (OTC) in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Located on the OTC campus, the Olympic Shooting Center was built in 1985 and is used for elite and resident athlete training, competitions, national championships, coaching seminars, camps, committee meetings and local clubs. Approximately 25 resident and day-use athletes train at the OTC during the year.

The Shooting Center is the largest indoor shooting facility in the Western Hemisphere and the third largest in the world. Three separate ranges provide 29 firing points from 50 meters and 73 firing points from 10 meters for training and competitions. It also houses the administration offices, a gunsmith room and locker rooms for resident and visiting athletes.

“Benchmade takes great pride in supporting American athletes and manufacturing quality, USA-made products,” says Rob Morrison, director of Marketing for Benchmade Knife Company. “We are very excited about the partnership with USA Shooting.”

Madison, NC –-(AmmoLand.com)- Guns and Shooting Online presented their 2009-2010 Rifle Ammunition of the Year Award to Remington Managed-Recoil centerfire ammunition.

According to Guns and Shooting Online editorial staff, “Remington is the company that has been the most committed to controlling recoil, and they continued to expand their Managed-Recoil line in 2009 with three more caliber introductions.”

Recognizing how shooters are affected by recoil regardless of skill level or body stature, Remington developed a line of performance-based, low-recoil ammunition in popular big-game cartridges. Remington’s Managed-Recoil ammunition delivers half the recoil of standard cartridges without sacrificing performance. And because Remington focused on the entire cartridge by combining select propellants and a specially-designed Core-Lokt® bullet, Managed-Recoil maintains optimum downrange energy. It also provides 2x expansion with more than 75 percent weight retention on shots inside of 50 yards and out to 200 yards.

With nearly the same point of aim as a standard cartridge at 100 yards, Remington’s Managed-Recoil ammunition is ideal for all hunters, allowing you to use an existing gun without readjusting the scope. Without the fear of recoil, shooters can practice longer and improve shot placement.

Remington’s Managed-Recoil centerfire ammunition is available in nine popular, big game calibers: 260 Remington, 7mm-08 Remington, 270 Win, 30-30 Win, 30-06 Sprg, 300 Win Mag, 308 Win, 7mm Remington Mag and 300 Remington Ultra Mag.

Learn more about our extensive family of Managed-Recoil centerfire and shotshell ammunition including Managed-Recoil Copper Solid™ Sabot Slugs, Managed-Recoil Slugger® Rifled Slugs, Managed-Recoil BuckHammer® Lead Slugs, Managed-Recoil Buckshot Loads and Managed-Recoil STS® Target Loads in 12 and 20-gauge at http://www.remington.com/products/ammunition/.
