Take a little sandpaper and lightly knock down the serrations.

These guns have polymer frames. The serration is sharp, hoping it will dull with time. Shoots nice and accurate. Very happy with this pistol.

Had a S&W Sig, was too big for my small hands. Traded it in on the SR9c and love it! Upon first inspection and dry firing my biggest gripe would be the sharpness of the serrations (several small cuts on my weak side hand brought me to this conclusion). I have only taken the sr9c to the range 3 times. The first time I shot approx. 90 rounds and had 3 jams. I'm new to automatic hand guns, and probably didn't have it cleaned properly before use.(new auto pistols are filthy from the machining process). Since the first outing I have shot some 300+ rounds with no jams. The trigger was a little gritty at first, now it is very smooth with a light trigger pull. When the sr9c was new the slide was very tight, after 300+ rounds the slide has loosened up nicely, and the serrations are no longer a problem. I have fairly large hands and have no problem handling the sr9c with either magazine. My wife goes shooting with me and, she has very very small hands and she handles the sr9c with no problem using either magazine although she does prefer the 10 round mag. The sr9c is very accurate even in the hands of a novice. This is a great compact pistol and I would reccommend highly for conceal carry or just having fun at the range.

I purchased my sr9c two tone 5 weeks ago $419.99. in NC.
It goes to the range this weekend. After two hundred rounds or so, it will be my carry pistol.

Just purchased the SR9c two tone model (I can see the fornt sight better than the solid black model for some reason) for $429.95<br

There are a lot of things that snag your clothing all over the pistol and I have a small hand with a matching short thumb. The pistol feels great in my hand but in griping it tight enough for shots that may count a lot, I am affraid that I will not be able to trust having a tight enough grip on the handle since my thumb ends right before the taper of the handle curving in toward the pistol. I can deal with the protrusions around the side edges with a good holster but I am stuck with my thumb. Any chance Ruger sees this, please taper the handle earlier near the point or end of the thumb placement. I am sure either with a handle accessory or more of a taper design, it will make all us males with female thumbs happy.

I know a lot of people like the new Ruger SR9c and I love the gun, the looks the safety but two things bother me that I wish Ruger would keep working on.
