All through history the difference between free people and slaves was and now is that slaves were always disarmed and kept that way.

People need to vote with their feet (or wheels) and leave slave states like Maryland, Illinois and some others.

Steve: I think it is pretty clear that this IS a RACIST bill.

Anytime you single out a class of people from the rest of the shepeople with special identification because they choose to exercise a constitutional right then that is a form of civil discrimination.

What if they decided to have a BIG “J” on your DRLC because you practiced the Jewish religion.

It is the same exact thing and it is called discrimination. For more reading on this bill read what Maryland Shall Issue says..

I have owned guns for most of my adult life, and was introduced to guns and gun safety by my dad and his father. I am a former member of the AGC in Marriotsville.

Please expaling your use of the word “racist” to describe a proposed gun bill in Maryland?

outragous, unconstitutional, harmful, oppresive.

I don’t see where using the word “racist” is productive.

Additionally, I appreciate the links for both of these bills, but would like to point out many issues that need clarification including the articles regarding to firearms purchase, licensing, transport of firearms and communications/ communications interception.

Is this part of a MAIG’s agenda ? Requiring real ID compliant identification for all gun purchasers. Those in non-complying states, which are many, will no longer be permitted to buy firearms?

In Illinois it’s called an FOID card, Annual fees charged by the state for a constitutional right.

If the state is going to publicly identify that you are exercising a constitutional right, how about also identifying (and registering) all members of the press, all religious practitioners, all meeting organizers, all lawyers, etc.?

And if the ‘G-man’ licenses are implemented, can they extend it to license plates, so I can get a personal plate that reads, “2A – BEST” or some such?
