Montana Governor Signs Montana Firearms Freedom Act
MISSOULA, MT --(AmmoLand.com)- The Governor Gary Herbert of Utah has just signed the Utah Firearms Freedom Act, making Utah the third state to adopt this challenge to federal authority.
Utah Gov. Gary Herbert signed into law a bill that would exempt Utah-made guns from federal firearms regulations.
“There are times when the state needs to push back against continued encroachment from the federal government.
Sending the message that we will stand up for a proper balance between the state and federal government is a good thing,” Herbert said in a statement.

This makes Governor Herbert the first Republican governor to sign an FFA.
Several other states have bills moving towards their governor’s desk. The Utah enactment will help keep the momentum going.
