Urgent Request for Testimony for Colorado Firearms Freedom Act February 8, 2010

Colorado Springs, CO –-(AmmoLand.com)- I am carrying a bill this session called the Colorado Firearms Freedom Act, SB10-092 .

If passed, this bill would create a confrontation at the federal level by making it legal to possess a firearm in Colorado regardless of federal regulations PROVIDED the firearm’s use AND manufacture meet certain requirements, including being manufactured in Colorado, with products produced in Colorado and stamped “Made in Colorado.”

Should these and a few other requirements be met, Colorado would join about twenty-two other states that have passed or are attempting to pass similar legislation, the purpose of which will be to provide support for a lawsuit already instigated by Montana (first state to pass such legislation) to challenge the overreach of the Federal Government’s use of the Commerce Clause.

I’m asking for all Colorado citizens concerned with the increasing regulations on Firearms and states’ rights to seriously consider testifying before the Committee.

The bill will be heard THIS Wednesday, February 10th at 1:30 by the Senate State, Veterans and Military Affairs Committee in Senate Committee Room 356. If you are willing to do so, please contact me at [email protected] or by calling my office at 303-866-4835 Visit: www.daveschultheis.com
