Lisa: Bad idea, is it is illegal to have any kind of fireworks in NJ. You don’t want to have to break the law to protect yourself from bears. Better off Hunting them.

I live in Montague nj off River rd and I have had a very large black bear approx size of volkswagen follow me down the road I was walking on. If you don’t think that is reason to have a hunt I don’t know what is. The development in the township has cut off their habitat. These ” newbies” think it is cute to feed the deer and the bear. Despite my educating the newbies they still feed the wildlife.
Blaming it all on garbage is stupid on your part. Management of all wildlife resources requires being able to control their populations. You can’t put a condom on a bear or give it birth control pills. Why don’t you ask people to give up their homes so bear will have more room to forage. Better yet import some wolves or cougars into the state of NJ to act as natural controls. Please forward this comment .
