La Crosse County Open Carry Picnic

West Salem, WI. --(AmmoLand.com)- Ladies and Gentlemen, children of all ages; we are proud to announce the 2nd annual La Crosse County Open Carry Picnic.

The 2nd annual La Crosse County Open Carry Picnic will be held on May 16, 2010 from 11:00AM – 3:00PM at the West Salem Village Park, in West Salem, WI.

This event is open to the public.

There will be a Chicken-Q, $7.00 for a complete dinner. Serving from 11:00AM – 3:00PM or until all the chicken is gone.

There will be a free drawing for numerous prizes, watch http://opencarry.mywowbb.com/forum57/41875.html for prize details.

This event is open to the public and as always Open Carry is encouraged but not required. There will be water and soda available, but no alcoholic beverages will be served.

Wisconsin Carry

Wisconsin Carry, Inc, Wisconsin’s fastest growing gun rights organization, has been invited to attend as a distinguished guest. They will have a table with merchandise for sale as well as membership applications for those who wish to join that fine organization

As this is Wisconsin’s first major open carry event of the 2010 calendar year, let’s all do our part to make it a successful one.

Directions to the venue are as follows:

• From Interstate 90,
• Take exit #12 (West Salem)
• Turn away from the BP truck stop.
• Take first left, (county B) pass the Cenex truck stop.
• At stop sign, turn left.
• Take first right onto Mill Street.
• Go 2 blocks to park.

Almost forgot: We have permission from the local PD to use all park facilities and this is not in a school zone.

Jakes & Greenwing Youth Day Scheduled May 11 in Glasgow Montana

GLASGOW, Mont. – -(AmmoLand.com)- Youth ages 17 and under are invited to participate in a fun and educational evening on May 11 at the Glasgow Trap Club.

The Jakes & Greenwing Youth Day event is sponsored by the National Wild Turkey Federation’s Hi-Line Gobblers Chapter, the Glasgow Chapter of Ducks Unlimited, the Glasgow Trap Club, and the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks.

The youth event begins at 5 p.m. and allows participants to try their hand at trap shooting, an air rifle course, and a 3-D archery shoot. An outdoor education session will round out the evening. In addition to building skills, participants will be eligible to win a Remington 20-gauge youth model shotgun and a Savage bolt-action .22-caliber rifle.

The Jakes & Greenwing Youth Day event is free, and dinner will be provided. Participants should gather at the club, which is located off Skylark Road just west of town. Parents are invited to attend, as well.
