SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. –-(AmmoLand.com)- The U.S. Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) Area 6 Championship sponsored by Glock has picked up nine additional stage sponsors bringing the total number of corporate sponsors for the regional handgun shooting match to 24.

MannyUSA, Rudy Project, Schuemann Barrels and Sig Sauer have each signed on as stage sponsors while Brownells, C-More, CPWSA.com, Red Dot Shooting and STI International are supporting the match as co-stage sponsors.

The Area 6 Championship will take place at the South River Gun Club ranges in Covington, Ga., April 16 through 18. A record 387 shooters from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee, the states that make up the Area 6 region, and 20 other states are expected to attend as well as international shooters from Canada, Colombia and Jamaica.

“This year’s match is setting a new record for shooter participation, and with close to 400 shooters, the Area 6 Championship is poised to be this year’s largest 2010 USPSA match outside of the handgun nationals,” said Charles Bond, USPSA Area 6 director.

“The success we’ve seen in drawing top-level competition is due in part to the quality of the match structure and course design, but it’s our strong relationship with our corporate partners, and their generous support, that’s helped us get to this record level of shooters.”

The nine newly announced sponsors join, Glock, the match’s main sponsor, Accurate Edge, Antler Printing, Atlanta Arms & Ammo, Brazos Custom Gunworks, Competitive Edge Dynamics, Montana Gold Bullet, Pro-Tech Co., Rugged Gear, Saw Custom, Shooters Connection, Springfield Armory, SureFire, Techwear USA and Velocity Shooter.

More than 100,000 rounds will be put down range in the quest for the championship titles in the Production, Limited, Limited-10, Single Stack, Revolver and Open divisions.
