Iowa --(AmmoLand.com)- Iowa Gun Owners would like to inform you that Texas Congressman Ron Paul will be in Iowa in a few weeks speaking on freedom and his organization’s fight to restore liberty.

Dr. Paul is a friend to Iowa Gun Owners’ and you may recall that last summer Congressman Paul endorsed IGO and our fight to pass REAL Right-to-Carry for all Iowans.

This carries significant weight as Congressman Paul has been a lifelong advocate for 2nd Amendment freedoms during his time in Congress.

Below is a portion of the endorsement issued by Dr. Paul last year:

Iowa Gun Owners is the only organization that takes a committed no compromise stance towards your gun rights. This session they have introduced a Vermont style “Real Right to Carry Bill” into the House with the goal being that law abiding citizens don’t need the permission of a government official to carry a gun for self-defense.

I encourage all who love liberty and freedom to join and support Iowa Gun Owners! Now is the time for people to mobilize and take back their freedoms before more and more layers of government regulation are added to them.

Congressman Paul will be speaking in Des Moines on May 14 at 7:30pm at the Embassy Suites on the River. The address is 101 East Locust St. This event is free and open to the public.

On Saturday, May 15, at 2:00pm and 6:30pm, there will be a forum held entitled “Forum on the Future of Freedom in America” with a variety of conservative authorities.

Finally, there will be a variety of political training classes offered during this weekend as well on May 15 and 16.
