Pro Shooter Max Michel Clinches USPSA Area 4 Championship On Home Turf
Essex Junction, VT –-(Ammoland.com)- Max Michel, champion shooter for Revision Eyewear, won first place at the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) Area 4 Championships held May 20–23, 2010 in Princeton, Louisiana. Michel also placed first in the match title’s Open Division.
The event, 230 competitors strong, included twelve challenging courses of fire, one of which was a 50 yard standard—a rarity in current competition.
The Louisiana native won ten of the twelve courses, finishing second in Stage 4 and third in Stage 10. This consistency allowed Michel to finish above the 77 competitors in his division with a score of 1409.7433, or 100%.
“For those who don’t know, the country is broken down into eight Area Championships. Area 4 is my home Area,” commented Michel.
“My Revision Sawfly Eyewear provided flawless optics and crisp definition in all courses of fire, giving me an edge in this prestigious competition. I’m especially proud of this win because I was able to keep the title in Louisiana.”
Michel’s next competition is the Norwegian Nationals in Norway on May 27 – June 6, 2010.
