AUSTIN, Texas --(Ammoland.com)- Are you an Outdoor Patriot?

The American Deer & Wildlife Alliance has launched an all-new monthly podcast, Outdoor Patriot, to rally sportsmen and outdoor enthusiasts on issues that threaten our American outdoor traditions.

The new show — available at www.OutdoorPatriot.com — features news, lively commentary and special guests.

The show’s current guest is Darren La Sorte, Hunting Policy Manager for the National Rifle Association (NRA). La Sorte provides an informative report on the NRA’s efforts to protect hunters’ rights.

“Our industry and, indeed our outdoor way of life, is under assault every day. We’re barraged, berated and sometimes beleaguered at the constant attacks on our liberty to hunt, fish and enjoy the outdoors, so this show is more ‘forceful’ in its message than ADWA’s other media channels,” says ADWA President John Meng who hosts the show.

“Of course, ADWA is still working to inform and educate the public on deer and wildlife issues and we are expanding our youth outreach programs all the time. But Outdoor Patriot is different. It’s a call to action for sportsmen to get involved!”

Last month’s episode of Outdoor Patriot featured Shawn Schafer, executive director of the North American Deer Farmers Association.

To listen online or download the Outdoor Patriot show to your computer or iPod, visit www.OutdoorPatriot.com or the OutdoorPatriot page on Facebook.

The American Deer & Wildlife Alliance is a non-profit organization working to promote the deer and wildlife industry and to preserve our American outdoor traditions. As a part of its public education efforts, ADWA produces Points Journal, a full-color magazine covering industry news, wildlife management issues, products and services; Spikes Magazine, a quarterly youth publication distributed to summer camps and public libraries across the country; and the www.iHuntAmerica.com website, a comprehensive search engine for hunting ranches, game preserves and outfitters. ADWA also sponsors Keith Warren’s Deer & Wildlife Stories, which airs on the Pursuit Channel, and the Outdoor Patriot, a monthly podcast which features commentary and industry guests.
