The demand for Spartans in 9mm and .45, and G.I.’s in .45 continues to grow! Even beginning to see orders for the “El Commandante” (shown “behind the curtain” at SHOT). This is a retro styled, 9mm, commander size pistol with mostly imported parts assembled here just like the “G.I.” is. Picture and specs should be up soon.
FYI: The first full run of G.I.’s sold out the very day that our first full run of parts showed up here. If you want any in the next 12-14 weeks, order now!
New options for the price list:
All IPSC and USPSA pistols are now available in .38Super. Forged 1911 frames in the ramped configuration are now available, along with slide to frame fits the same way. We’re also looking at the possibility of offering the LS9 with an aluminum frame. What do you think?
We have to do some small price increases on a few parts due to materials increases, transportation costs, etc. Examples: sear spring, STI (Bomar style) adjustable sight, .45ACP 1911 magazines, etc…
We’re working with another partner for .22LR Top Ends. It’s lookin’ good at the moment. Magazines should be interchangeable. Price is higher but at least we’ll have them.
Well, we’ve done another name change on a gun in mid stream. The “Eclipse” is now called/named the “Total Eclipse”! It may just totally eclipse any of our new introductions by volume. ALL of our short guns are in high demand! The “Escort”, the “Shadow”, the “Elektra”, and the “Off Duty” are selling like crazy. The 3.9″ VIP, 4.15″ “Guardian”, and the 4.15″ “Tactical” are keeping pace pretty well, too. Speaking of the “Total Eclipse”, while it IS available in 9mm, .40S&W, and .45ACP, only the .45ACP will be available to cities, states, or countries that require a 10 round or fewer magazines.
The sales potential for the other calibers in those areas simply does not warrant the tooling investment to produce those magazines. Sorry.
We’ve had to shelve work on the “Guestbook” and “Shopping Cart”. Too many other good things happening. We’ll get back to them when things slow a little.
Remember those Beautiful STI “20th Anniversary” guns that we would only take orders for 200 of? Limited production run with sequential serial numbers? The ones that sold out on the very first day? They have been rolling off the production line for a few months now and every one is as fine as the examples at SHOT. Good news for somebody: we believe that a few folks that ordered in January are beginning to have “buyers’ remorse” and may no longer want their pistol. No solid cancellations yet but, if you have an interest you may want to get a hold of your contact here.
Like everybody else in the industry, we intend to do a “100th Anniversary of the 1911” commemorative edition. Unlike everybody else, we decided to wait until 2011 to produce them. We’ll probably have them on the website before we introduce them at the SHOT show this coming January. I say “them” because we’re planning a two pistol set. One, a 1911 style and one, a 2011 style. As the “2011” guys, we had to do it. Matching pair serial numbers: i.e. “1911-001” and “2011-001” would be a set. Nestled in an exotic travel or display case. STI quality and warrantee. Collectors’ items with a Certificate of authenticity. Five hundred piece limited run. (We learned our lesson last year.) We will start taking pre-orders on August 9, 2010. No deposit required. Don’t miss out this time.
