SunBuster’s World Champion Shooters Bernosky and Piatt Win 7th NRA WAPC in Australia
FARMINGDALE, NY --(Ammoland.com)- SunBuster’s World Champion Professional shooters, Carl Bernosky and Bruce Piatt both won medals at the 7th NRA World Action Pistol Championships held in Sydney, Australia.
The Blacktown Pistol Club hosted the world competition which is held every two years.
The course of fire consists of four matches: Practical, Barricade, Moving Target and Falling Plates where each match is timed and worth 480 points equaling a total of 1920 possible points.
Returning to the World Action Pistol Competition for his fourth time, Carl Bernosky won his second Silver medal with a perfect score of 1920-181x in the Open Division and former World Champion; Bruce Piatt won the Bronze medal with a perfect score of 1920-177x in the Open Division.
The weather during the three day event consisted of overcast skies and misty rain challenging shooters to see the targets clearly and quickly. Both Carl and Bruce wore SunBuster’s Clear lens treated with an anti-fog and water repellent coating which prevents fog and rain from clinging to the lens and assisted the shooters returning to the winners’ podium.
Carl commented, “It was a privilege to be on Team USA and to have had such a great competition season. My recent win at Camp Perry as High Civilian in the High Power Rifle Championship and now winning the Silver medal in Australia, proves why it’s critical to have quality equipment like SunBuster.”
Piatt said, “It’s always an honor to represent the USA. Every competitor should experience shooting at an international event once in their lifetime, not only for the match experience but for the friendships and camaraderie. Knowing my prescription inserts would not fog up, allowed me to concentrate on my shooting.”
SunBuster’s president Steve Asman said, “We’re just so happy to support both Carl and Bruce, two extraordinary competitors and ambassadors in the shooting industry. We offer our congratulations to them.”
SunBuster has designed The Maverick and The Dude, two lightweight frames specifically designed for shooters. Both models provide a comfortable fit for all-day wearing. Each model includes an interchangeable lens system of five lenses, created to enhance and maximize the shooter’s ability to perform under different lighting and target presentations in competitive shooting. The first lens system is the Pistol/Indoor system and the second is the Shooting/Hunting system. Each system offers a patented, lightweight, rimless insert, which sits behind the lens and available in a wide range of prescriptions. Additional custom colored lenses are available to add to either system for enhanced levels of shooting.
