Virginia – -(Ammoland.com)- This morning, the House Militia, Police and Public Safety Committee reported out SB757 and it now heads to the full House with a vote on final passage likely coming early next week.

SB757 is much needed reform that requires that any local ordinance which prohibits the shooting of pneumatic guns in certain areas shall have, among its exceptions, an exception to allow the firearm to be discharged on private property with permission of the owner when discharge is conducted with reasonable care to prevent a projectile from crossing the bounds of the property.

Many localities have been enacting unreasonable ordinances requiring large distances between buildings or dwellings for the discharge of air rifles.

SB757 addresses this issue and will be a welcome reform. Please contact your delegate and ask them to support SB757.
