Constitutional Carry The Smarter Fiscal Choice
The support for constitutional carry continues to grow across the state AND in Madison.
Wisconsin –-(Ammoland.com)- Attendee’s at both the Madison and Wausau hearings on Shall-issue and constitutional carry concealed carry laws last week were overwhelmingly in support of right to concealed carry IN ADDITION to the ability to practice that right without permits and fee’s. “Constitutional Carry”.
Wisconsin Carry and our members had a “meet and greet” with Senator Pam Galloway in her District in Wausau this past week. Senator Galloway has introduced Senate bill 93 the “Constitutional Carry” bill. Senator Galloway shared MANY positive things regarding the legislation’s progress.
She fielded questions and gave great answers about the bills, the status, and what members could do to help get Constitutional Carry through the legislature. She said that rumors of the death of constitutional Carry are in no way true. Support is INCREASING.
Her suggestion was to contact your own legislators, no matter what side of the issue they have currently taken and give them your views and that you want the particular legislator to support Constitutional Carry, Be polite and non-threatening and give a reason or two why you want Constitutional Carry. Make the phone call and/or email and/or letter contact (or multiple contacts) short and sweet. Do not let up. Two short messages are worth more than one long winded sermon.

Below is some additional information/links that you can use as talking points when you call/email your legislators. Again, SHORT but impactful contact is the best. Do not spend an hour writing a huge email. They won’t read it all. If you want to send multiple ideas, do it in separate short emails.
Talking point #1:
Constitutional carry will save the citizens of Wisconsin millions upon millions of dollars:
Contact your legislators. Share with them this document. Specifically refer them to page 23 where a section on the ECONOMIC BENEFIT TO WISCONSIN of constitutional carry estimates over a half BILLION in annual savings. https://www.wisconsincarry.org/pdf/Guns_Good_Bans_Bad_WI.pdf
Talking point #2:
In a time of fiscal crisis in Wisconsin, “shall-issue” permits would add an expense the state cannot afford. The first link below is the FISCAL ESTIMATE of a permit system (which Assembly bill 126 would implement). Over 2 million dollar projected expense the first year and 1 million projected expense every year there-after. (DA’s didn’t agree with the estimate. I presume they think it would cost more) Newspapers are ALREADY citing the fiscal estimate of the permit system as a reason not to pass concealed carry. Constitutional Carry blows that argument out of the water.

Word is that the legislation will come out of committee and be voted on in the next couple of weeks. NOW IS THE TIME to contact your legislators (State assembly person and senator) and ask them to support CONSTITUTIONAL CARRY. EVEN if you have never contacted your legislator before, NOW IS THE TIME.
Its not complicated, just give them a call or send an email. Share the talking points above, OR simply just call and when the staffer answers the phone just say:

“Hi, this is (your name) from (your city) I just wanted to call and ask that you pass a message along to Representative/Senator (your rep/Senator) to ask that he/she support constitutional carry. Senate bill 93. I want the right to carry, but I don’t feel as a law-abiding citizen I should have to register with the government and pay a permit tax to do so. If you could please let Rep (your rep) know, thank-you.
