Madison, NC –-(Ammoland.com)- Remington Arms Company would like to congratulate Brad Kidd, Jr, 2010 National Sporting Clays Champion, on continuing his winning ways by taking World English Runner-Up at the 2011 World English Sporting Clays Championship held on April 28th – May 1st at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio, TX.

Kidd finished the Main on 191/200, one bird shy of Great Britain’s legendary George Digweed to enter the Super Final with the top six finishers.  Heading into the last cage, Kidd was atop the field, but fell shy to Digweed by two birds at the completion of the competition.

It was a fantastic overall showing for Team Remington shooters as well.  Team Remington shooter Wendell Cherry captured 5-Stand Runner-Up (RU), and his prodigy and teammate David Radulovich dominated the Junior Concurrent taking RU in Main, Preliminary, 5-Stand, and finishing Junior 3rd in Federation Internationale de Tir Aux Sportives de Chasse (FITASC). Remington Team Shooter Scott Robertson also had a great showing and captured the Small Bore High Overall (HOA) title. The 2009 National Sporting Clays Champion, Gebben Miles, won the Pro-Challenge event, topping a field of some of the sports best guns.

“This was a remarkable weekend for Team Remington, and I am very proud of all of our shooters,” said John Bauer, Shooting Sports Manager for Remington. “Our shooters are as consistent as our products, and always seem to find themselves atop the podium.”

A special congratulations to men’s TEAM USA for also capturing the World English Sporting Clays Team title. Team Remington shooters made up three of that five-man team, and posted the top three scores on the team.
