Canton, OH --(Ammoland.com)- After a video of Canton, OH police officers threatening the life of a concealed carry permit holder went viral and on national TV, an elected town council member went on this rant against concealed carry and the right of people to defend themselves.
Is it any wonder that Police Officer conduct like that of Daniel Harless can go “unnoticed” or maybe even encouraged with people like this running the show in Canton, OH?

Seems like 1:30 in the morning in a crime ridden area of the city is the best place to be carrying a weapon. Are we supposed to take comfort in the knowledge that, should we be shot down in the street, the police will investigate our murder? This is what passes for police protection because the fact is that they can’t protect you, even if they wanted to; and it seems to me they’re not all that interested in trying to. Looking at the video it’s clear that what we really need protection from are insane cops like this one. It amazes me that someone as evil and demented as him could be handed a gun & badge. Unfortunately I’m coming to believe that his type is all to common in our police forces. This councilman needs to get his head straight. If I were in his position and had the mindset he does, I’d fear an armed citizenry too, as should all would-be tyrants.
I think we should outlaw handguns because that way all the criminals will give them up. (being sarcastic)
