Team ITI’s Ladies At 2011 Western Pennsylvania Section Championship

SHACKLESFORD, VA --(Ammoland.com)- If luck be a lady, then Team International Training, Inc. (ITI) has doubled up in their good fortunes with Cindi Thomas and Laura Torres-Reyes.
The ladies of Team ITI cleaned house at this past weekend’s 2011 Western Pennsylvania Section Championship, held in Hollidaysburg, PA August 5th – 7th, 2011.
Thomas took home High Lady B Class Production, as well as the coveted title of High Lady Overall. Torres-Reyes also performed well, taking home High Lady C Class Production.
“The Western Pennsylvania Section Championship was a very technical and challenging match,” commented Thomas. “The low hit-factor stages made accuracy essential. The Hollidaysburg Sportsman’s Club was absolutely beautiful and the match staff was great!”
Torres-Reyes added, “It was a well organized match that had a variety of innovative designs which made it enjoyable and challenging for all skill levels.”
Torres-Reyes’ can next be seen competing at the IDPA Mountaineer Classic, held in Boone, NC August 20th, 2011. Thomas’ next competition will be at the USPSA Area 8 Championship, held in Fredericksburg, VA August 26th – 28th, 2011.

About Cindi Thomas
Cindi Thomas has been competing for the past three shooting seasons in USPSA and IDPA. In USPSA, she competes in Production “B”, as well as Limited 10, while in IDPA she is an ESP and SSP Sharpshooter. Thomas has several Top Three Lady finishes to her name, including a recent finish as High Lady at the South Carolina Sectional and the Maryland State IDPA matches. She is a Navy Veteran, having served seven years, and now works in a civilian capacity for the Navy as a Financial Analyst. Thomas has her Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the University of Maryland University College and is currently enrolled in the Naval Postgraduate School’s “Executive Masters in Business Administration” program.
About Laura Torres-Reyes
Laura Torres-Reyes first started her shooting career five years ago when she decided to practice to qualify for a deployment as a Medical Commander for the Air Force. She is currently serving as an Active Duty Air Force Colonel (0-6). Torres-Reyes, a Bronze Star Medal recipient, specializes in Occupational Medicine and practices as a Physician at Fort Detrick, Maryland. She currently competes in IDPA as an SSP EX and has earned over thirty High Lady and High Military State Championship titles in her past four years of competing in IDPA. Prior to being on Team ITI, Torres-Reyes competed as a member of Team Smith & Wesson for two years.
