ACCOKEEK, MD --(Ammoland.com)- A completely new lightweight shotgun launches a new era for Franchi’s innovative light, fast and reliable auto-loading shotguns.

The Affinity is a versatile Inertia Driven, semiautomatic shotgun that’s right at home in every type of shooting situation, whether it’s hunting birds or busting clay targets.

When you pick up the new slim and distinctive Affinity you will understand the meaning of “feels right.”

Available in both 12- and 20-gauge, the Affinity receiver is made of a lightweight, durable aluminum alloy that’s strengthened with steel inserts that ensure a solid steel-to-steel lock-up. As a result, the 12-gauge Affinity weighs 6.4 pounds and the 20-gauge is just 5.6 pounds. This lively auto-loader responds to the explosive flush of a quail covey as quickly as it swings with a flock of teal zipping past the decoys.

The 12-gauge Affinity handles 1⅛-ounce target loads up to the heaviest 3-inch Magnums and the

20-gauge Affinity digests ⅞–ounce loads (1275 FPS) up to 3-inch Magnums. Because they are Inertia Driven® the new Affinity shotguns have the feel of smaller gauge guns without compromising the proper punch expected of the actual gauge. This is possible because the recoil spring encircles the magazine tube located forward of the receiver, which keeps recoil in line with the shooter and helps reduce muzzle climb. Without relying on gas valves or heavy pistons positioned under the fore-end to cycle shells the Affinity offers a slim attractive fore-end profile.

The Affinity’s durable synthetic stock is impervious to all elements of weather, as well as gun solvents and lubricants. The stock is drop and cast adjustable with a shim-kit system. Recoil is tamed with a newly designed recoil pad that is unique in both form and function, allowing deep compression that spreads recoil energy over a wider area of the shooter’s shoulder. Whether it’s duck marshes, grouse woods or the pheasant plains and partridge prairies there’s a stock that’s perfectly suited for the job. Franchi has total confidence in their shotgun products and stands firmly behind every Affinity with the industry-leading 7-Year Warranty.

“Light, balanced, refined—however you define feel, the Affinity feels right,” said Stephen McKelvain, Benelli USA’s VP of Marketing & Communications. “This is a gun that embodies the right balance and weight. It also exhibits an intuitiveness that allows you to point it like it’s second nature.”
