North Haven, CT –-(Ammoland.com)- Introduced in 2004 and proudly built in the USA, the Mossberg ATR (All-Terrain Rifle) bolt-action has earned the reputation as a dependable, accurate and affordable centerfire rifle with premium features.

Now in conjunction with the release of Mossy Oak’s Deer THUGS TV series, Mossberg is pleased to announce a line of ATR Deer THUG rifles.

Available in three widely-popular calibers: .243 Win, .270 Win and .30-06 Sprg, each rifle features Mossy Oak Break-Up® Infinity™ camouflaged stocks and the “Deer THUGS” logo laser-engraved on the receiver. Honoring the THUGS (Today’s Hunters United for Good) moniker, Mossy Oak donates a portion of the proceeds from their Deer THUGS merchandise sales to the Wounded Warrior Project.

At the core of the ATR rifle is an all-steel machined receiver for a positive lock-up and smooth, solid bolt-operation; free-floating, button-rifled fluted barrel with protective recessed muzzle crown, constructed of durable carbon steel; weather-resistant, classic-styled synthetic stock fully camouflaged with Break-Up Infinity; and integral top-loading magazine with five-round total capacity for reliable feeding and ease of loading/unloading.

Standard on the ATR Deer THUG rifles, and all ATR models, is Mossberg’s patent-pending, user-adjustable LBA™ (Lightning Bolt Action™) Trigger System. The durable machined trigger assembly is constructed of aircraft-grade aluminum which undergoes a hard-coat anodization to minimize corrosion and wear. The LBA’s unique skeletonized lightning bolt trigger blade blocks the sear from releasing the striker until the blade is fully depressed. This sear engagement design provides for a creep-free trigger. Trigger pull can be adjusted from 2 to 7 pounds with a standard screwdriver.

Other value-added features include factory-installed, Weaver-style two-piece scope bases; stock and forend sling swivel studs; and sling.

Now you can hunt with the same premium bolt-action rifles that the most-experienced, whitetail-savvy hunters take afield – the Mossberg ATR Deer THUG centerfire rifle in .243 Win, .270 Win and .30-06 Sprg! 1. Purchased one on 30.06 cammo with scope, good looking gun, hope to make next season with it, If I can get any ammo by then that is……

    2. I bought a Mossberg ATR Deer Thugs rifle in camo synthetic stock in 30-06 caliber. So far so good. I really like the looks of this rifle. I’ve owned several Mossberg firearms during the past 68 years of my life. My only complaint has been their poor Customer Service in recent years. Back “in the day” Mossberg Customer Service was excellent. Modern day Mossberg Customer Service leaves much to be desired. When you contact them be prepared to flip a coin as to the resolution of your problem. I’ve received everything lately from + two Months service to basically NO SERVICE AT ALL. Be prepared to make several calls to get to talk to someone who knows a rifle from a shotgun. I hate to call Customer Service and hear “I don’t know” instead of “I don’t know but I will transfer you to someone who does”, like we hear in the 1960’s. But hey, I realize it’s 2016–The STANDARD excuse! Best wishes to Mossberg Company with their current Customer Service Policies.
