ACCOKEEK, MD –-(Ammoland.com)- The Condor 28-Gauge is the newest addition to Stoeger’s lineup of Condor Over/Under shotguns.

The 28-gauge cartridge, which was introduced back in 1903, is recognized and respected as one of shotgunning’s most efficient loads that’s effective on upland game and clay targets alike.

In recent years this sub-gauge has become increasingly popular with upland hunters who appreciate lightweight, low-recoil and fast handling characteristics in a shotgun. Stoeger has met those needs with all the right attributes in the new Condor 28-gauge.

The ultra-reliable box-lock, break-action is at the heart of the Condor 28-gauge, featuring an all-steel jeweled mono-block and extractors. A single trigger facilitates quick shooting and the tang-mounted automatic safety is conveniently located, making the Condor 28 safe and easy to operate. When the cover is close the Condor 28-gauge gives shooters an easy-to-view sighting plain for quick target acquisition.

A new more slender pistol grip and fore-end allows the Condor 28 to feel and point like a dream and provides a positive grip for total control. Weighing in at just 6 pounds, this is an over/under that’s quick and easy to handle.

“Many shooters still consider the 28-gauge, ‘the little cartridge that could,’” said Stephen McKelvain, Benelli USA’s VP Marketing & Communications. “As a light, yet low recoiling shotgun for both the beginner and expert alike, the Condor 28-gauge makes a big impact at small-bore skeet, and it’s deadly on upland birds.”

Not from Stoeger, but it uses Browning “Invector” tubes. I’ve only been able to find them from Browning and Briley. I myself wanted cylinder bore, skeet 1 and full for upland birds. With the two tubes included, that should be a good assortment for everything I want this gun to do. Go to Briley’s website, there’s a lot to choose from. Good shooting.
