Your Attendance Urgently Needed at Massive Gun Rights Rally on March 7th.
Illinois --(Ammoland.com)- As many of you know, the Illinois House Executive Committee sent two extremely anti-gun bills to the floor yesterday:HB5831 – this bill would tack a $65.00 tax on every hand gun you own and require you to register like a sex offender.
HB5167 – this bill would tack a 2% “Sin Tax” on all ammunition sales in the state with the proceeds from the tax going to a fund to help pay for a healthcare program for gang bangers and drug lords.
EACH OF THESE TWO BILLS HAVE ONE PURPOSE AND ONE PURPOSE ONLY – TO PUNISH LAW-ABIDING FIREARM OWNERS
The Emanuel/Obama gun haters aren’t being the least bit bashful about their intent, they have made it clear that they will “screw-over” gun owners by any means possible.

This article is really dumb. They are not taxing anything to pay for “drug lords” (there aren’t any freakin’ “drug lords” in Chicago) and gang bangers medical. They are doing it to deter people from buying them if they cannot make it illegal altogether. And if you are legitimate, why are you worried about being registered as a firearms owner? There’s only one reason people would want to hide from that – and if you’re so “I WANT MY RIGHT TO HAVE MY GUN”, why would you want to hide? Stop playing man, this article is goofy as hell! I agree, people should have their guns, but responsibly, and registering as an owner is part of being responsible. To compare that to “like a sex offender”, well, that speaks loudly itself. That was just stupid!
“I agree, people should have their guns, but responsibly, and registering as an owner is part of being responsible. To compare that to “like a sex offender”, well, that speaks loudly itself. That was just stupid!”
Yes the above author of that comment is stupid. How is registering as a gun owner “part of being responsible”? When the government finally decides that the type of gun you own is illegal, then they will know exactly where to find you and your “illegal” gun. The government has no more right to know whether I own a gun, than they have the right to know how I voted in the last election. It is simply none of their business.
And I think that forcing people to register their guns is treating gun owners similarly to the way we treat sex offenders, and that gun owners should be offended when people in government start acting like that.
Doesnt matter anyway. The Supreme Court has already ruled that any registration requirement would be UnConstitutional
Why would anyone in their right mind want to be on some kind of registered list just because they are a law-abiding gun owner? That is the most sinister fascist thing I ever heard. Is it my meth head neighbors business that I own guns or any valuables in my home so that he can break in and steal them when I’m not home? Hell no! Is it any of the government’s business that I own guns so they can confiscate them whenever they find any little excuse? Absolutely not!
In a state where it is the norm for governors to commit crimes and go to prison, I would have a real problem with this registration law. The lawmakers in this state need to understand that those of us who do not live in the city are getting frickin sick of paying their bills. Then I suppose all criminals will be the first ones to step forward and register their handguns!LOL
Why do’nt all you good people ofill. all get together and go down to you’re state house and grab those anti-gun slobs by the neck and throu them all out. Put a sign outside saying no more idiots in gov. seats.
whats the mater did’nt like my 1st comment its not there. Its under Brian on march 4th. Whats wrong with your system?
