Payson, AZ --(Ammoland.com)- HPR (High Precision Range) Ammunition is pleased to announce the recently acquired $300,000 economic development grant thanks to a partnership with the town of Payson, Arizona.
The town of Payson was awarded the grant for HPR by the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA). Neither HPR, nor the town of Payson has ever landed an Arizona state grant.
The 2012 grant was the single largest grant in the state for one entity.
HPR will use these funds to provide additional software, manufacturing and testing equipment to aid in the expansion of the company. HPR plans to add a second shift to their manufacturing process to include inspectors and machine technicians who run ammunition loading machines. Currently, HPR is producing ammunition for most handgun calibers and one rifle caliber – .223. In 2012, production will move to include several rifle calibers like .308, and others.
Jeff Antich, General Manager of HPR comments, “We would like to express our appreciation for the continued support and hard work of Mayor Evans, Town Manager Debra Galbraith and Mike Vogel. With the grant and our planned expansion, we look forward to offering twice as many jobs to Payson residents and increasing our production process. Being awarded a grant in these hard economic times is very much appreciated. What the state of Arizona is doing for HPR, our second amendment rights, and the firearms industry is highly admired.”
This past year, HPR has added a national sales manager and twenty-five sales representatives across the country.
HPR is available in Cabela’s, Turner’s Outdoorsman , and many other fine retailers and indoor shooting ranges.
HPR expects to begin shipping to Academy Sports, and Dunham’s Sports, as well as many other retailers and ranges in the near future.
The demand for HPR ammunition has risen due to the company’s attention to detail. Ryan Nicholas, National Sales Director for HPR states, “The quality control at HPR is at a very high standard thanks to our meticulous production and engineering teams
- HPR is currently recruiting high caliber personnel for all positions to meet the growing global demand for our product.
The Arizona Commerce Authority grant will allow HPR to continue expanding its production of American made ammunition for our consumers.
HPR provides All American custom hand loaded performance at production pricing. HPR strives to include all American components to their cartridges. Other countries may be able to produce products cheaper at the expense of quality and the outsourcing of jobs but, HPR believes in American quality and American jobs. HPR is the first manufacturing facility to locate in Payson in more than a decade. They are growing quickly and becoming the pride of their community. For more information, visit www.hprammo.com
