Colorado ‘Dark Night’ Shooter Used Common Weapons

Aurora, Co –The Aurora Colorado police chief is reporting that the so-called ‘Dark Night’ Shooter used four common everyday weapons, including an AR15 rifle, 12 gauge Shot Gun, and two Glock 40 caliber handguns.

None of these could be considered assault weapons as being reported by Mayor Bloomberg and others and in fact are typical everyday weapons owned by millions of law-abiding US families for common sports shooting, hunting, and self-defense.

No reports on the type of magazines used are available at this time. Thankfully the state of Colorado appears to have no limits on magazine capacity, but for the exception of Denver which has an in city limit of 21 rounds for firearms with Detachable Magazine. Not that magazine capacity size makes any difference in this situation, as criminals intent on breaking the law would not follow those laws to begin with, therefore law-abiding citizens should not have to suffer limits on magazine size.

It seems that what victims were reporting as “shrapnel” was most likely shotgun pellets, fired into the defenseless crowds.

so you know the left defines any weapon that's big, black, and scary looking and takes more than 1 hand to hold as an assault rifle… so the AR15 to them is an assault rifle since its a semi auto copy of the m16/m4 and "has no purpose other than killing people" yada yada yada…

You know if someone in that theater had a gun they could have shot back… just sayin.
