PARAGOULD, AR –-(Ammoland.com)- The Jack Cox Scatter Creek Firing Range is now open.

The range was temporarily closed for repairs and modifications in early June.

A new baffle was constructed and the old baffle renovated. The new baffle provides increased safety for the range.

The range is located northwest of Paragould in Greene County. The range offers a place to shoot for fun as well as a spot to get ready for upcoming hunting seasons. Any legal rifle or pistol and ammunition may be used on the firing range.

To reach the firing range, take U.S. Highway 49 north out of Paragould; take Arkansas Highway 135 north; go 5 miles and turn west on Arkansas Highway 34; go 3.5 miles to William E. Brewer Scatter Creek WMA sign; turn north and go one mile to firing range.
