ATF Offers $5,000 Reward in Gun Store Burglary 17 Firearms Stolen From Qwik Cash Pawn

NEWTOWN, Conn –-(Ammoland.com)- The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the trade association for the firearms industry, has offered a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the theft of firearms from Rio Rancho Armory, a federally licensed firearms retailer in Rio Rancho, N.M.

This reward offer matches a $10,000 reward offered by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

According to ATF, 37 firearms–including four rifles, one fully automatic and all equipped with sound suppressors–were stolen in the early morning hours of July 25 from the retailer located at 2006 Southern Blvd. ATF and the Rio Rancho Police Department are investigating the theft and are seeking information from the public that would lead to the resolution of this investigation.

Steve Sanetti, president of the NSSF, said, “Our matching reward offer we hope will assist ATF and local law enforcement in solving this crime against a federally licensed firearms dealer and lead to the swift recovery of stolen firearms before they can enter the illegal underground black market where they can be misused to commit violent crimes.”

The matching reward payment by NSSF will be granted only following payment of the initial ATF reward, which is up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the crime.

Any information regarding this burglary should be reported to ATF by calling the Albuquerque office at 505-346-6914 or the ATF hotline: 1-800-ATF-GUNS (1-800-283-4867)

The ATF hotline is toll-free, and all information will be treated confidentially. Callers will remain anonymous upon request.

For any questions about the theft of these firearms, please contact ATF at one of the numbers listed above.

I wonder if those thieves are thinking of bringing those weapons into california because if sb249 passes they will be useless.
