Florida Carry

Florida Carry

Florida - -(Ammoland.com)- This coming weekend will mark the start of Florida Carry’s third year of sponsoring Open Carry Fishing Events throughout the state.

Having grown from three men standing on a fishing pier to Florida’s largest independent second amendment advocacy organization in only two years is an amazing accomplishment that we should all be proud of.

With legislation pending about open carry, knife & weapons rights, defensive display, and stand your ground self-defense laws, plus lawsuits ongoing to enforce firearms preemption and insure carry rights statewide, it has become apparent that our monthly meet-ups need to become more meaningful events for our members and more useful for all of our causes.

So to that end, starting in August our monthly OC fishing events will also become our local chapter meetings. Local event coordinators will receive informational materials and publications each month in order to better keep you up to date on what is going on throughout our state and nationally regarding your right to carry for self-defense.

As local chapters of Florida Carry, each will be able to become as organized or casually managed as its members like. This format will allow Florida Carry’s grass-roots network of pro-carry members and supporters to effectively operate within their local community and cooperate to support state-wide initiatives.

As effective as we have been so far, we must grow to insure that your self-defense rights are protected. We must also fight to stop ongoing abuses of law-abiding people just because they exercise their fundamental right to carry.

Local meetings will be held in:

  • Tampa
  • Orlando
  • Miami
  • Ft. Lauderdale
  • Daytona Beach
  • Ft. Myers
  • Palm Beach
  • Melbourne

About:
Florida Carry is a non-profit, non-partisan, grassroots organization dedicated to advancing the fundamental civil right of all Floridians to keep and bear arms for self defense as guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution and Article I Section 8 of the Florida Constitution. Florida Carry, Inc. was organized by a group of Florida gun rights activists in order to better coordinate activities, effectively lobby the state legislature, and to provide a legal entity capable of filing suit to demand compliance with state and federal law. Florida Carry stands only to represent our members and the over 6 million gun owners of Florida. We are not beholden to any national organization’s agenda that may compromise that mission.

Florida Carry works tirelessly toward repealing and striking down ill-conceived gun control laws that have been proven to provide safe havens to criminals and be deadly to law abiding citizens.
