Gilchrist Club Names Don Currie General Manager

Trenton, FL --(Ammoland.com)- Don Currie has been named General Manager of The Gilchrist Club, an exclusive hunting and sporting resort near Gainesville, Florida, and a subsidiary of Bankers Financial Corporation.

Currie’s appointment was announced today by David Meehan, Chairman of the Gilchrist Club.

“Don brings significant management and leadership experience to The Gilchrist Club, as well as his qualifications and background as a national champion in shotgun sports, avid upland game hunter and shooting instructor for Orvis, the NRA and National Sporting Clays Association,” said Meehan.

“We are confident Don will bring The Gilchrist Club to the next level of efficiency in operations as well as further elevate the shooting and hunting experiences we deliver to our members. We are fortunate to be able to add Don to our leadership team.”

Don Currie joins the Gilchrist team after a successful 20-year career in a variety of corporate leadership roles, including CEO and Chief Marketing Officer.

In addition to his corporate leadership experience, Currie is a Master Class Competitor and National Shotgun Champion, columnist and sought-after instructor and coach in shotgun sports.

He won the title of 2011 NSCA National Champion and 2012 Florida State Champion in side-by-side shotgun. He is a regular columnist for Clay Shooting USA and holds a variety of certifications and designations as an instructor in the shotgun sports. Currie served as a US Army Officer for seven years after graduating from Bucknell University (Lewisburg, PA).
