Capt. Howdy: 2nd amendment is far from a “God-given” right. It was written in 1793 by men who could not have possibly imagined modern weaponry. No parent wants to dress their kids for school in bulletproof vests, or try and talk their teachers into getting concealed weapons permits. You gun nuts are sounding increasingly looped.

Evil will always be evil and if you took every legal gun away from this country, evil will still happen. This kid took his mother’s weapons and then turned them on her and a bunch of children. I was going to post something rational, something logical, that would help you understand why we need stringent gun control in the US, but when I read these posts, I realize there is no compromise. You will by god have your way, and your guns, and the rest of us just don’t matter, including the dead children. Your Mr. Brown stated we would use the bodies of dead children to promote our agenda. Would he have us sweep the dead children under a rug? “Don’t give an inch”… indeed.

It is deranged to believe that we do not need real, rational gun control. The argument that we should all bear arms in order to protect our selves and families from the criminals with guns is no longer a valid argument. Perhaps true in the old west but not in the 21st century. To many dead in schools, theaters, malls, etc. Sad but true. Too many of those that we would otherwise think are “sane” seem to snap and commit these mass murders. Come to grip with the reality that many in this country are tired of the NRA staunch position against even the most minimal of gun control.

and an enemy of the American way of life.

Very well said Ammoland. Both the article and the response. Leave it to someone like an Andreas Moser to try and trivialise and politicize human tragedy. Not to mention blatant untruths to further their own means.

@Andreas: I guess growing up and living in Germany would explain you nonsensical questions about the NRA and your misguided assumption that the Firearms Industry is opposed to free speech, possibly you could take a American class on the constitution to better understand how the US Bill of Rights acknowledges our God given right to have a gun for self defense as a free person. Also, buy a gun and you will see for yourself what it is like to be in control of your own destiny and not at the mercy of a criminal.
