Anti-Gunners Stop Hiding Behind Lies & Openly Start Planning Gun Bans

Charlotte, NC –-(Ammoland.com)- Any attempt by the anti-gun elite to hide their agenda has officially gone by the wayside.  Recent electoral history had taught the gun control crowd to camouflage their intentions during the campaign season, and then wait for an opportune time to act.

That tactic now appears to have run its course.

With Obama winning a second term as president, the anti-gunners know they don’t have to face voters at least until mid-term elections, so they seem to be wasting no time in pressing what they see as an advantage, and are starting to once again come after our guns in earnest (please see U.N. Story above).

Last week, anti-gun Senator Dianne Feinstein’s (D-Calif.) staff met with the legal staff of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to discuss a new and very comprehensive “assault weapons” ban.

According to a ShootingWire.com article, Feinstein’s rumored “assault weapons” bill “would ban pistol grips and ‘high‑capacity’ magazines, eliminate any grandfathering, and would ban sales of ‘weapons in possession.'”

This is not a new strategy for Feinstein and her allies; they are just newly emboldened to drop the facade and press forward with the same agenda they’ve always had.  Feinstein has championed gun control in her state for decades, and was co-author of the original Clinton “assault weapons” ban in the 1990s.  Furthermore, her anti-gun philosophy and agenda are in lock-step with President Obama’s stance on the issue.  In the Oct. 16 presidential debate, Obama said that he supported a ban on “assault weapons” and implied that he supports restrictions on “cheap handguns.”  As detailed on www.GunBanObama.com and www.GunBanFacts.com, Obama supported banning both types of firearms and many more when he was in the Illinois legislature, and supported banning “assault weapons” when he ran for the White House in 2008.

It appears that the gun control supporters have dropped the camouflage and have once again started working to further their gun control agenda.  And the NRA will once again stand in their way.

The purpose of the Second Amendment is so people can protect themselves from future Tyranny. They need the tools to do this. The term "Well Regulated" in the Second Amendment meant "Well Manned and Equipped " in 1791 as was determined in the 1939 United States v. Miller case after referencing the autobiography of Benjamin Franklin. The concept of Government Regulation, as we understand it today, did not exist at the time. United States v. Miller also determined that the term "Arms" refers to "Ordinary Military Weapons". American Citizens have the right to Keep and Bear, which means Own and… Read more »

An "assault weapon" could nearly anything available at the time an assault is committed (for example a dinner fork, a baseball bat, a garden hose,a tire iron, on and on ad nauseum. For a person bent on harming another, anything handy could possibly used as a weapon thus making it an "assault weapon". Wouldn't it be much better to put a "stupid politicians ban" in place? Personally, I resent politicians who think that we're so dumb we buy their line of crap

Chuck

Well, we voted the gun grabbing bastards out in '92 and maybe their memory is not too great, but come 2014 the NRA will tell you who are the gun grabbers. They are so gone!!!

It is in fact no ones business what fire arms I own or why I own them.

The 2nd amendment was written so that free people would stay free. The government should fear the people, not the other way around.

rappini

Dan, kudos you said the best.

"Assault weapon" is a made up liberal term to vilify a semi-automatic rifle. They are used for hunting and home defense. One of these is known as the Mini 14 Ranch Rifle. Which most ignorant liberal gun grabbers would not recognize as an "assault rifle".

guy campbell

Not all weapons are for homedefense. Ranchers need them to keep coyotes away from livestock and children. Gun laws should be up to local and state enforcement.

Dan

Well Mr DsVstheworld as usual you and people like you have missed the point haven't you? Its not about military or law enforcement…its about its none of your damn business what I own or don't own. Who the hell do you think you are? Mind your own business.

DsVstheworld

I won't mind an assault weapons ban. There IS NO reason for a person to have a weapon like an AK-47 or AR-15 for home defense. None. That's a gun for military and Law Enforcement only.

Saddletramp

Only two options available. Prepare to revolt or Heil Obama

FROM MY COLD DEAD HAND!! It will be a blood bath.

too late for letters.you send, they receive, then they delete or trash can.they want the whole world disarmed period.its easier to murder the population that way

Frank

You can say "Come and take it", but I rather they not have that opportunity. Letters need to be written to all elected officials to not support those gun ban / "assault weapon" bills. Send emails and letters on a regular basis, not just one and done… Solicit others to do the same.

Dan

Come and take it.
