National Rifle Association

FAIRFAX, Va. –-(Ammoland.com)- The National Rifle Association of America is made up of four million moms and dads, sons and daughters – and we were shocked, saddened and heartbroken by the news of the horrific and senseless murders in Newtown.

Out of respect for the families, and as a matter of common decency, we have given time for mourning, prayer and a full investigation of the facts before commenting.

The NRA is prepared to offer meaningful contributions to help make sure this never happens again.

The NRA is planning to hold a major news conference in the Washington, DC area on Friday, December 21.

Details will be released to the media at the appropriate time. www.nra.org

It is not about guns it is about control. Our Socialist President can not control us if we are armed.

Joe

Gun Control means hitting what you aim at. Check the FBI reports on murders. More people are killed or injured with baseball bats than guns. Do I hear a vote for banning baseball bats? Ohh and one other comment – Peter,John, Jack and Jasmine are idiots. WHat you say here makes absolutely no sense. Learn how to write and what you are writing about and then comment sensibly.

I can not comment on the 2nd amendment of the American constitution because as a Canadian citizen it would not be politically correct. But my personnel point of view, without leaning left or right is. My idea of gun control is a study AIM

In response to John, Jack, Jasmine: If you don't like firearms, don't own one. If we can sue manufacturers based on people killed by their products, we should sue all auto manufacturers due to people killed by cars/trucks. A drunk driver and a mass killer, both use legal products in an illegal manner.

Peter, John, Jack, J

NRA. Get rid of your Guns. What if it was your child killed. Still want guns., yes you do., you will not change….

John, Jack, Jasmine

John, Jack, Jasmine

Fighting fire with fire. A good guy with a Gun, against a bad guy with a gun. I am appaled.

John, Jack, Jasmine

Only Americans are so gun crazy. Why, oh why do you need a gun? Because the other guy has one., if no-one had one, You Do Not need to protect yourself.

Ivan Pistov

It's been said that whenever a tragic event like this occurs, they always attempt to punish the people who DIDN'T DO IT.

Ammoland is a valuable news source and should be applauded for their efforts! This shooting has been a shock for everyone especially gun owners. We gun owners take great pride in encouraging safe and responsible use of firearms. That said if the NRA capitulates or makes concession because of the actions of a Lone Animal I will never support them in any manner again! We do not need to change our culture because of an “Animal” we should not blame others or vilify health concerns over the actions of this EVIL individual! If there is a lesson to learn from… Read more »
