Washington DC - -(Ammoland.com)- During comments at the 2012 Herman Khan Award Dinner in New York last night, former VP Dick Cheney criticized Obama’s Middle East policy and what he perceives as the projection of U.S. weakness instead of U.S. strength.
Cheney said the Middle East is moving in a direction “fundamentally hostile to U.S. interests” and “the U.S. is increasingly unable to influence events there.” Cheney believes our inability to influence is largely tied to the fact that Obama is “headed for the exit” in Afghanistan.
The former VP then reminded his audience of Obama’s “apology” tour to the Middle East in 2009, and said Obama’s approach to Syria has been indicative of our projection of weakness over the last four years.
Specifically, regarding Syria, he said it appears Obama “will take [no] actions besides hope.”
In concluding his remarks, Cheney made it clear that even now, we have people who are planning to attack us “with deadlier weapons that 19 hijackers and boxcutters.”
He said “our allies don’t trust us and our enemies don’t fear us.” And that just about sums it up.

Dick Cheney is dead on the truth. From the time that Obama and his cronies took office, the hate of our enemies, and the distrust of our allies, has increased 10 fold. Our image as the leader in freedom, and in the strength to protect and defend our allies and ourselves, has weakened throughout the years because of pure envy, jealousy, and greed, without Obama’s help. Now with Obama’s spineless image around the World, we are looked upon as a good source for free money handouts, and a prime target for all comers. We need the few politicians with the guts to speak the truth to our fellow Americans, and the guts to let the rest of the World know that we will no longer support them financially or militarily, until we get something back in return, even if it is only the respect and compassion for all the young men and women we have sacrificed for their freedoms.
This is nothing new, I’ve been telling people this since Obama first took office.
