McCarthy should issue a statement, either denying or clarifying the remarks he did or didn’t make. People online often want to believe whatever is helpful to their cause, and I’ve seen lots of people on the anti-gun side not thinking things through. Regardless of any law and regardless of 2nd Amendment rights, if they took guns from responsible citizens and allow only the criminals and mentally ill people to have them (and they’ll get them law or no law), watch crime rates soar.

Then, you have people like Feinstein with her gun — do as I say, not as I do, more or less. Just makes you shake your head and wonder, doesn’t it?
