Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation

Washington, DC --(Ammoland.com)- On January 17 2013, Sporting Classics magazine awarded the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF) with the “Sporting Heritage Award of Excellence.”

The award was presented to CSF President Jeff Crane during the CSF and National Shooting Sports Foundation’s (NSSF) Sportsmen’s Economic Impact Report press conference at the SHOT Show in Las Vegas.

Doug Painter, former President and CEO of NSSF, presented the award on behalf of Sporting Classics and highlighted the critical role CSF played in 2012 by working with Congress, governors and state legislatures to protect and advance sportsmen’s issues.

Painter stated, “While we’re in the field or on the water, CSF is on Capitol Hill, helping to ensure that our voice is heard on issues that could impact the future of our sportsmen’s traditions.”

Sporting Classics’ Annual Awards of Excellence salutes the organizations and individuals whose exceptional products and services have a significant impact on the lives of sportsmen and women. Nominees for the Awards were submitted by the magazine’s senior contributing editors, and then finalized by the Sporting Classics’ staff.
