In 2005 hurricane Katrina ran through Louisiana . My neiborhood was a real mess. In the aftermath there was wide spread looting and assaults going on for weeks on end and it was a very dangerous time. The people who were not prepared for this had to flee and leave their property exposed to all the mayhem. We were without police protection for 8 weeks. The only thing that kept the gangs and looters away was my AR15 and my 30 round clips and my ammo. I had to confront these people head on and I thank god to this day that I had this gun . Until you have to face this kind of danger you will never know what it is like to have to deal with this. All you people out there that want to infringe on a persons right, not a privelige, to defend ones self with restrictions are out for only control of of your rights. If I had been restricted with how many bullets I could buy or how many clips I could have, I would have been over run by these people. Unlike Orleans parish my parish of Jefferson did not infringe on our 2nd amendment rights and did not conficate our weapons and we unlike Orleans were able to Keep these gangs away from us. It took more than 30 rounds over 8 weeks having to confront this day after day. People in Orleans parish were killed because they had no protection because it was taken away by the police and national guard and lawsuites are still going on to this day because the confiscation of weapons and the direct violation of there 2nd amendment rights, some of these families have settled with Orleans parish through lengthily lawsuites. The constutition and the bill of rights recognizes your rights not gives you your rights, you were born with it, not granted by government. All you gun grabbers had better wake and realize that the 2nd amendment is the only thing and I mean the only thing that preserves all of your rights.
