Good article. It needed to be said, a reality check.

I’ve watched a number videos from “Tier 1 tacticool instructors. I can’t remember any of their complex procedures except that you can hit a man-size target at 25 yards with an AR-15.

Our training on the PD (approved by Glock) concentrated on KISS because when the SHTF you’ll better remember what to do. I can attest to that.

this is why i’ve never gone in for competition shooting. i do study and practice, but “k.i.s.s”, i keep my gear simple, no trick holsters, fancy sights and “super custom” guns. when the slide locks open on an empty mag i hit the release and let it drop, my off hand going for the reload, stuff it in the gun, trip the slide lock and get back to work. no “ninja dancing” or “beauty moves”, just shoot until the bad guy is down, then call 911 for p.d. and e.m.t. and the lawyer.

This is exactly why good folks moved to Texas and are moving here by the thousands every week. We don’t make laws to catch and punish good folks. We arrest, convict and severely punish bad guys. And we execute the extremely bad guys. So when you have had enough of your Jersey thugs, Chicago mob, D.C. criminals, L.A. La Raza racist drug gangs just pack up and hang your signs “Gone To Texas” like Sam Houston, William Travis, and David Crockett. And……..
