Second Amendment Foundation

BELLEVUE, WA --(Ammoland.com)- The Second Amendment Foundation today announced that Tom Gresham’s Gun Talk Radio will sponsor SAF in 2013 as a Silver Level Sponsor.

As a sponsor Gun Talk Radio provides critical support to the Second Amendment Foundation’s existing legal action and education programs, as well as new SAF initiatives.

Recent legal triumphs of the Second Amendment Foundations include Moore v. Madigan, Woollard v. Sheridan, Chan v. Seattle and the landmark Supreme Court decision in McDonald v. Chicago. SAFeducation programs include the annual Gun Rights Policy Conference, the Preemption Legal Project seeking to assist cities and counties in achieving compliance with state firearms laws and making available a variety of publications.

Gun Talk Radio has long supported the right of law abiding persons to keep and bear arms. Their commitment to sponsor the Second Amendment Foundation illustrates the depth and sincerity of their support for both the Second Amendment Foundation’s efforts to protect and restore those rights and the firearms rights of all persons.

“The concrete support of Gun Talk Radio in 2013 will allow the Second Amendment Foundation, through our education and legal action programs, to take our pursuit of recognizing and restoring firearms rights to an entirely new level. We are honored to consider Gun Talk Radio a partner in our efforts,” said SAF Director of Development Ray Carter.

“As our Executive Vice President and founder Alan Gottlieb has frequently observed, most of the Second Amendment Foundation’s support comes from small donations from our members and supporters and we are and will always be grateful for their past and continued generosity. Yet, support on the scale that Gun Talk Radio and that our other sponsors provide is truly deserving of special recognition. We look forward to working together with our sponsors to advance the cause of firearms rights.”

The Second Amendment Foundation (www.saf.org) is the nation’s oldest and largest tax-exempt education, research, publishing and legal action group focusing on the Constitutional right and heritage to privately own and possess firearms. Founded in 1974, The Foundation has grown to more than 650,000 members and supporters and conducts many programs designed to better inform the public about the consequences of gun control. In addition to the landmark McDonald v. Chicago Supreme Court Case, SAF has previously funded successful firearms-related suits against the cities of Los Angeles; New Haven, CT; New Orleans; Chicago and San Francisco on behalf of American gun owners, a lawsuit against the cities suing gun makers and numerous amicus briefs holding the Second Amendment as an individual right.
