Cheaper Than Dirt! Restricts Law Enforcement Sales to Same Products as Civilians

Cheaper Than Dirt! Sales Policy Assumes Firepower Equality Movement Standards.

Fort Worth, Texas, USA –-(Ammoland.com)- Cheaper Than Dirt! strongly supports the Second Amendment and the constitutional rights of all gun owners.

Due to the latest round of attacks from lawmakers on the Second Amendment, and the threat of another Assault Weapons Ban, several companies have began adopting policies of restricting the sale of certain products to law enforcement.

“Cheaper Than Dirt! holds true to these same beliefs and has a long-standing policy stretching back nearly two decades of subjecting sales to agencies or individual members of the law enforcement community to the same standards as civilians within the state or community.”

This policy was originally implemented for two reasons. While Cheaper Than Dirt! salutes the men and women law enforcement who answer the call, it cannot in good conscious distinguish between the rights of a law enforcement officer and the rights of an ordinary citizen. Second, in an effort to comply with all local, county, state and federal laws, Cheaper Than Dirt! has designated fulltime employees tasked with ensuring all of our policies are in compliance with the continually changing legal landscape, which makes it a near impossibility to sell to certain individuals within a community and not to others.

Cheaper Than Dirt! encourages all citizens, including members of the law enforcement community, to contact their legislators and encourage them to protect the Second Amendment by ensuring the fair and even application of the law to all of its citizens.

Cheaper Than Dirt! prides itself on being America’s Ultimate Shooting Sports Discounter since 1993. Cheaper Than Dirt! boasts over 100,000 items available for purchase through its Web site and catalog. Articles, photos and videos appear daily on the Shooter’s Log at www.CheaperThanDirt.com/blog.

RockHard,
Bud you sure seem confident in your opinions about me. Funny that. I’d peg you at about 15 years old. Right? Ad hominem arguments are always only foundation upon which small and petty minds build their case. You should consider expecting better of yourself.

I stopped even visiting their website when they stopped their ammo sales. I would not get ammo at their store, even if they were giving it away now… and they definitely are NOT giving their precious ammo away are they.

I hope nobody shops at a Cost Triple Daily store!,supply and a grand, greed is green.

We must not compromise as did CTD! They have shown their true colors now let them go out of business because of it.

CTD sells a good mix/selection of products at good prices. I like their magazine selection.

I interpret this article (and CTD’s policy) as meaning they sell to everyone and, they apply any restrictive laws or policies that are applied to civilians to the law enforcement community too. As it should be. It was a .50 liber rifle company that (correctly) refused to sell to the LAPD because they banned that rifle to civilians.

I also will never again enter a Dick’s Sporting Goods store. I’ll continue to shop at CTD.

A real fighting dog never wets himself…a false one does–one that’s been conditioned to fight but doesn’t really have the temperament for it and fights only if or when its life is on the line…similar to CTD, wouldn’t you say so, Dan? You’re just a shill, Dan–you probably work for CTD or you’re one of “those” Ms. Heather Cocolin (a real American) wrote about–easily deceived and blindly led to slaughter. There’s also another saying: “Don’t piss down my back and tell me it’s raining.” It’s from a classic American movie, where men and women fight for their right to be… Read more »

CTD does have ammo in stock, but they can kiss my ass at $1.00 rd.for green tip. I emailed them twice about the gouging and they never replied.I’m sure it would be the supply and demand BS.

Rich

Hey CTD, we won’t forget when you ditchedc us!

Dan

Sometimes the “dog” with the most fight wets himself at the beginning of the battle. I say welcome back, just don’t wobble any more. I always liked shopping at CTD and its nice to know I can continue.

As some others have said:”we all hang together, or we all hang seperate.”

Heather Cocolin

@RockHard
I agree. They are traitors and trying to make up for lost customers. They ditched us when it mattered and now they are back-peddling. They will never get my business again.
They are political windbags and unpredictable.
Sorry CTD, but you went the way of Dicks Sporting Goods. Never again and I mean that. I can find those products somewhere else.
It makes me sad to think that there are those who will go back to CTD because of this. =(
Too little and wwaayy too late!!!

Cheaperthandirt is a self-stained company. I already closed my account with these two-faced traitors/charlatans. It doesn’t matter what they do or claim at this juncture of the gun control debate, because when it really mattered and people needed their services they slammed their doors into all of their faces. Basically, they screwed America and they gave Texas a big black-eye. They’ll say anything now and do almost anything to clean the stain off their company–but people remember; and if they did it once, they’ll do it again–this is an untrustworthy company when things go awry; so, don’t believe them and… Read more »

Almost makes up for the ridiculous price gouging.
