A crowd of mostly pro 2nd Amendment citizens listened to the proposals that will strip gun owners of their collective rights. That is SB 281 and HB 294. Remedies include requiring complete state police madated, and approved weapons qualification and training course on every weapon owned, before a license to own will be issued, with requalification every 5 years. A fee of nearly $500.00 non-refundable to own guns and other onerous laws which include the touted magazine and anything that looks military in nature restrictions. They also include bans or reporting of volume ammo purchases, including background checks for that as well. Ending gun shows, and on and on and on, to the tune of 45 pages of new regulations that will make owning a gun nearly impossible, and thereby bypassing the 2nd amendment by infringing upon the ability to own a gun, based on their definition of what a gun is and is not. ANything defensive and military will be out. Reinstituting the 94 gun ban and anything in copycat or similar design included, including registering every gun and all ammo.

It seems that I along with many other law abiding Marylanders will soon be classified as outlaws, and therefore criminal, and therefore unable to own guns.
